Removing a malfunctioning third party "energy management" control from a walk in cooler and installing a new thermostat. These energy management systems were supposedly given to customers by the utility company through a third party installer. They give nothing but issues. They control the box temp with a coil and air sensor and also shut down the refrigeration to use residual cooling to make i...

Thank you immensely 👍 Mine is a 1951 birth & found you & can get mine flying soon. Extreme thank youuu for the parts list!!! Bought mine from a distant cousin, original owner was great uncle & barely used since new. Have the rest of Uncle Mud's Delta tools & planes all working as new!
Before you start, make a few lines with a Sharpie across the joint. When the Sharpie lines disappear, you are at 800 degrees Fahrenheit.
one of the best videos available on soldering v brazing. Awesome video.
Indeed this the best❤ video distinguishing between the two relays.. I agree with someone in the comment section.. Thanks 4 putting in the great effort Man🎉
happy birthday
I'm a DIYer and dreading to learn brazing just for a few maintenance joints I have to do. This was the best video on HVAC piping I have ever seen. Thanks.
I came prepared for class! “classic”
Nice intro
Damn! You have just made my life much easier! Thanks for sharing.
Just trammed my Bridgeport with Pro Tram. Wow so easy and accurate!
Fan motor. Or record player motor. 73
the break off tab on your outlet is used for other ways too..most common is to use seperate circuits ( from Breaker panel ) to give you a better chance of not plugging two devices in at once.... your use is another ..to switch the outlet seperately from somewhere... i usually just use a plier to twist it off quickly...a few back and forthes to weaken it and twist it off...or twist off first try..lol
I just put my first A/C unit in. I used the #8 because I saw videos on the reliability, the limitations and the advantages. I was a bit intimidated by brazing as I was concerned about damaging the system with the heat. Your video has alleviated my concerns so Thank you sir.
11 year old video and the oiler is now $18, almost 4 times as much. Still a bargain.
Great instructional video 💯 I am a plumber but for a few years prior to the re-claimers and new HVAC gases were mandatory. I like that you mentioned open mesh cleaning cloth compared to sand paper, open mesh is the best to use. If I remember correctly, the hottest part of a torch is the sharp blue point, I’ve used Mapp gas, B tanks and Turbo torches, the MC tank is a handy option for tight spaces. Whenever I had to do 4” DWV copper pipe, I sometimes used 2 torches or would walk the solder around the pipe, but back then for waste lines 50/50 was allowed which helped with big pipes, but I would often try to cap it with 95/5, just an added layer of protection. Using silver stick soldering was part of my practical test. It’s an acquired skill that takes time to master. Another part of your video I appreciated was the difference between plumbers sizes and HVAC pipe and fittings along with the difference between M, L, & K copper. Despite years of working in my trade I still find I can still learn from Trade videos such as your video 👍
Stupid cat.. this is THREAD class, not "Ball of Yarn" class..
used stay brite 8 for years works fine and first one was installed 24 yrs
❤ the job
Alguien save donde puso la tierra de la salida av??😢
Alguien sabe si poniendo una salida RCA con las primeras conecciones sale o tengo que poner todos los sircuitos hasta el final o solo puedo tomar el audio y video y ponerle entrada RCA??
Stop calling it soft solder it is brazing solder it says it on the roll thats where the mistaken idea is it is not a soft solder it is a brazing solder so if we stop calling it soft solder it will likely be more acceptable it is a low temperature brazing compound
No it is a solder. Says so right on the roll. Any filler that melts below 450c (842f) is defined as a solder. Anything above is defined as a brazing alloy.
@@Halligan142 yes Halligan it is called a Brazing Solder not Soft Solder look at the roll description I'm sorry Halligan I'm mistaken it says Silver Bearing solder not Silver Brazing Solder I guess I want to change the description so it won't be connected to plumbing like Stay Brite one is nickle based and Stay Brite 8 is Silver so I concede I am mistaken but still think it should be described as a Brazing Solder then it would probably be accepted more for Brazing filler
Yeah it’s very helpful and easy fix too in a pinch you def have to heat that up more so if it a higher stress point I’ll heat up a portion of the crack enough to do a dime one first second third centering it in but I’ve seen people use axle grease to welds cast aluminum didn’t believe much in the method at first till I seen quality of work kind of but not really just in the sense iit protect the weld . A battery charger stainless steel plates like outlet cover liquid elc tape all stacked in series tickled by about ten amp off alternator using the vacuum for injection to pipe hydrogen generator by this simple install not bullishit seriously Il l give anyone my Toyota Camry if you can show me it doesn’t work literally within a couple of weeks the inside of your motor with be Perfectly lean Toyota doing a 3 cylinder version turbo puts out more ponies then it’s turbo older cousin
What’s the purpose of leveling the lathe? I have a SB 10 L (1968). Thanks, Paul
You actually want to prevent twist in the bed. Leveling is an easy way to establish that. Any twist will cause the headstock to not be aligned with the ways and will manifest itself by a taper in your turned piece.
Professor Al-Aziziyah, the reasons for the weariness of the mechanical part
can i do this with my model c or do i have to have a quick change box?
I was buying the cheapest inserts on Amazon because I was just starting. It was infuriating trying to get a good finish. I bought some more expensive inserts from accusize, and it was night and day difference. Although the accusize is a lot more brittle than the cheap stuff, it leaves a nicer finish. I have had good luck with accusize tools they tend to be higher quality than most of the cheap stuff. When buying on Amazon, I find myself leaning towards that brand. It's not the best, but it meets the requirements for a farm!
Excellent excellent video! I was wondering how you do the left hand threads and BAM, there you go! Do you do work for the general youtube community? I have a 1" shaft I need threaded LH on the one end and RH on the other. Building a buffer. Thx
why not caulk the warm side of the panels?
I got the same board metro 328 but for some reason when. I connected it my computer makes a noise but the program doesn't show anything, how did you get yours to show? Thanks
how are you doing there buddy , no update since a year.
Still here. Work and family commitments have taken priority. I have filmed videos in the editing cue I'm just not finding the time at the moment.
@@Halligan142 all the best with life.
Ths video is a life saver mate, I didnt take any photos when I stripped mine thinking the manual would guide me but its almost useless as its too 10 biased and even the 13 references are for more recentt models (mines 1943), one very grateful Brit👍👍
Bingo !! Thanks
หัวจับสว่านแบบออโต้ลอ็กราคา
Thank you. Looks like good work.
wat you never made a part 4? was looking forward to seeing it complete.
Not so simple if it's a 2 morse taper arbor.
Some of the work you do is out of frame view of the camera, not a big deal but if you mark on the table you’re working on the frame view of the camera for your own reference and work within that frame the viewer experience will be enhanced as we follow along. Thanks for posting.
If you were an old school machinist, you would pull the scale out, instead of the calipers!
Buy your self a diamond grinding wheel with the abrasive on the side. It's excellent for sharpening HSS tools
Awesome video I can't believed I didn't see it sooner. I got into commercial refrig 2yr ago and all the leaks I've seen is either from bad brazed or solenoid o-ring. So about last year I started using staybrite-8 so far no issue.
Brilliant video, will help a lot when I get to levelling my 13" 👍 Do you have a link for the adjustable feet that you used?
I haven't tried the Lucas ones yet. Only aluminum rods that worked decently for me or anyone I know is Hobart brand (can get them at TSC). Those will give you a fighting chance of success. Those Lucas ones you used were really good AFAICS but wanted to thank you for a piece of technique you showed - heating the parent aluminum until the rod wicked onto the aluminum (keeping the flame away). I did this before, but what this video showed was that the wicking test is really the only way to go about using these and not mixing in any other method. Also, it looks like that air tip is the best tip to use for this from what I can see. It's perfect for the task (not too hot - too hot makes heating the aluminum more unpredictable). Thanks for showing this.
It can make coin as anti iron?
How about marking the top of the alignment bar to eliminate error. Just a😮 thought. I like your idea, borong the center goles would be good also.
Question: my 1946 Delta 14” bandsaw has the belt/pulley guard on the back, but the latch & knob is missing. Do you have pictures of what it should look like? Thank you.
Mine does not have the belt guard but it should be a stud with a knob matching the blade pulley doors. It just holds both half together in the non hinge version. The hinges version has the same knob that holds a screw and a little plate. There's both versions on eBay right now to take a look. Item 234601804306 and item 225866513555
Thanks for taking the time to record this! Great job too! These must always be stripped and missing on the 13's. Finding one is near impossible. My lathe's was missing. Making one looked pretty daunting, even with a few rough drawings available. But after seeing you actually do it I feel a lot better about making one. And one that will actually work and not damage the underside of the ways. You helped a lot of people out. Thanks again.
So video was good but I was taught you should always use 15% silver brazing rod. That dynaflow is only 6%. The flux that is acceptable may have some type of neutral oil like nylog is accepted by all on flared ends. All I would never brazing a refrigeration joint with out nitrogen it’s required. I work commercial construction and if they saw solder join and no nitrogen the system would not get it approval or warranty. But good video not trying to nit pick
Alumaweld best way to get it to work is use straight acetylene to leave a black film on your work surface. Then using your oxygen and acetylene, once the black is burned away it's hot enough to braze
